I got this for a friend of mine who rides a bike everywhere on a daily basis. He loved the package and says everything comfortably fits him. He's happy ?For $25 I didn't expect much, but I was fairly pleased with what I received. I haven't used the pads or helmet in practice yet (unicycle training), but I tried them on and adjusted the helmet to fit. I will keep and use this equipment, but there is a reason I'm not giving it 5 stars:First of all, I am a 6' adult male, 170 lbs, with a short beard. My issues of strap adjustment for what I consider to be a normal-sized adult head is a concern for the buyer if their head is the same size as mine or smaller. If I were overweight, the issues below would probably not be a concern. In order to be effectively and safely snug, I have had to cinch the chin strap as far as it will go, while still leaving the foam chin pad intact. This means, however, that the pad is now forced offset enough that it only hits half my jaw, while the snap-buckle rests directly against the other side of my jaw. It's not going to be uncomfortable, since the chin strap is not fitted THAT snug in normal use, but it was a surprise. If your head is any smaller than mine (thus cinching the strap tighter), you will be forced to shorten the pad by cutting it, or remove it altogether. In either case, the buckle will always be under your chin. If your head is larger than mine, this issue will progressively go away, the larger you are.The only other concern is that the strap adjustment buckle doesn't really grip the straps very well, even when I ensure the o-ring is applied. If there were any "teeth" in there to help grip, that would help, but unfortunately, it's only smooth plastic. I suspect that during use, it may need periodic tightening. Not a huge issue, perhaps, but a pain in the butt I would rather not have to think about. If it indeed slips, I'll take a small file to the gripping points in the buckle and file some notches into it. A simple and effective fix, but it's something that should have been done by the designer in the first place, not the end user! All that being said, I would still buy this again. The strip parts fell apart and I have no idea how to fix it.Used this for my students in a soapbox car race. The knee, elbow, and wrist protection is good. This was tested in actual conditions -- a student wiped out and was unscathed from the pavement. The helmet is too round though and does not have enough padding. A human head is more oval shaped. The uncomfortable helmet led to the student not wearing it properly, and it was because of fiddling with it that he crashed.i buy it for my grandson, he likes it very much.very pleased with the purchase.cheap materialStylish and effective . Ease of use.You literally get everything you need to be safe on your bicycle or e-bike/scooter!I feel a lot safer!! Wrist guard(s) are actually really decent for the price as well!
