This is a heavy duty steel lift that is well made and durable. It just barely fits under my bike, but it does fit, and in all fairness, my bike has been very slightly lowered, so that might not be a problem for most. It raises by putting the stand under the bottom of the bike, and pushing down on the foot lever. They claim that this will lift up to a thousand pounds, and it may well do that, but not unless you weigh at least 600 pounds. I have a 450 to 500 lb adventure bike (depending on fuel level and gear), and I only weigh about 170 lbs. Lifting my bike on this required some ludicrous bouncing on the foot lever to get it to lift the bike. I can just stand on the foot lever with all my weight on it, and no feet on the ground, and the bike doesn't lift at all. After practice I found I could still get it in the air, but it is challenging, and requires me to bounce up and come down on the lever like I'm trying to kickstart a 1200cc 4 stroke single with no compression release. I plan on using some spare steel bar and a welder to lengthen that foot pedal in the future. I would have given this only 3 Stars, but I realize most people using this type of stand are trying to lift around 250 lbs or less. If you have a lighter bike than mine, this would be a good value for the money.
