Easy to install, came pre bled, fit both front and rear of my 26" MTB. These took under 30 minutes to install with adapters for any setup.Worth it upgrade! The few issues with these appear to be from user error, in sizing hoses, aligning and bedding in the pads. Most will be DIY'ers first time install with these Shimano's. If you never bled hyros before there will be a learning curve, so dont blame the brakes. I always bleed my new brakes, because I always trim the hoses length how I want them. I dont like a rats nest under my cockpit. Minimal hosing.I measured the front hose at 850mm Rear was 1350MM End to end. I trimmed both Fr and Rear hoses. No ferrels or brass olives included. Must buy them sized for this hose. (BH59 hose) and bleed them using Shimano Mineral Oil and a standard Shimano bleed kit (Funnel and 1 Syringe) These Shimano MT-200's specifically use the funnel method of bleeding. Easier than my Avid's (Cannondale) for sure. I recommend these. However I didnt give it much in stars for value as the price of these brakes have skyrocketed as many things have. I dont believe these should be so close in price to XT or Deore. Supply chains cause this. SO value figures into the equation. $170. (without Rotors) I paid was steep, considering they could be sourced for 40% less if you look now. No instructions were included. I dont need them. But those doing for the first time should get the manual from Shimano.com and watch many videos. This is the budget Shimano Hydro Brakeset. Going from mechaniclal to hydraulic brakes can be frustrating for first timers. I still have mechanical AVid BB7's (160mm rotors) on my old Trek. They keep up with many of my Hydro brake bikes here. If you use Compressionless cable housing on mechanical disks, they modulate well, sometimes better than hydraulic bikes. Just food for thought.OK, so I purchased this brake set to replace some POS Juicy 5's that just weren't cutting it anymore. I read many reviews of many different F/R brake packages and was certain that I would get a set that was setup for Rear/L Front/R, which is not what my bike is set up for. My bike (2012 Stumpjumper) is set up for Front/L, Rear/R, the (correct) way. I borrowed a bleed kit, ordered new olives and inserts, and was fully prepared to switch out the brakes to match my setup. It was NOT NECESSARY!!!. These brakes were set up exactly as I needed them. Furthermore, the cables were the exact length for my size medium frame (full suspension). The kit came with one bracket that is needed to mount the caliper to the frame. I had the other one for the front brakes. I have 160mm rotors, and both brackets position the calipers exactly for my setup. The kit comes with 4 new bolts to secure the brackets to the frame, pre-treated with anti-seize compound. The calipers were easy to install, and were easier to align. Both rotors are new, so there are no warps in the rotors to contend with. The calipers are aligned by loosening the bolts attaching the caliper to the bracket. There is enough "play" in the bolt holes in the caliper to align it correctly relative to the rotors. It took me 10 minutes tops to get the calipers aligned and tightened. The levers fit exactly where the old ones use to sit, did not have to move the shifters (SRAM X-7). Levers do not interfere with shifters at all. 2 minutes to install. The brakes work 10x better than the old Juicys. The levers have reach adjustment, and some adjustment for travel, which is easy to set up. I think Shimanos are better than the Juicy brakes, an opinion many of my riding friends share (most of them were wondering why it took me so long to come to that conclusion). 5/5, would recommend. Arrived in 2 days no less, in freezing cold/snow. Can't comments on other size bikes, but would probably fit L frames, and if you are willing to shorten cables, or are OK with a messy looking install, then go ahead and get these ones for S frames. Overall, one of the best online bike part purchases I have made.I got these to upgrade a set of Radius mechanical brakes on my 2001 rockhopper. I went ahead and sized up on both rotors as well, going from 160mm - 180mm. The difference is unbelievable. I used to really have to mash the brakes to get the bike to feel like it was actually trying to stop. I would also have to re-adjust the cable after almost every ride, and dirt would get into the cable housing and make the lever feel gritty. These brakes have totally changed the way I ride. There is so much progression and I have so much more confidence while riding. Best upgrade ever.On another note, pay close attention to what adapters you will need. This set comes with:1 Shimano post mount 180mm adapter (it also works on rear post mount)1 Shimano IS 180mm adapter (International Standard mounts, NOT post mount - See their diagram)2 JGbike IS adapters.Since I was going to 180mm on both front and rear, and my bike is "post mount" on both front and rear, I needed two of the Post Mount 180mm adapters. Luckily my LBS had one in stock that I was able to go pick up in the middle of in stalling my brakes. Just make sure you get what you need. The brakes are the real deal and there was new looking oil in the system but when I treated the system as being new and pre-bled I was quite shocked when it took zero oil. I suspected as much since the levers were already kind of taught when centering my discs. Now I have to spend more time bleeding out what was in there just to ensure I don't have any trapped air in the system.brake kit is fine.. just beware that this kit is for united states spec where the left brake is the front and the right is the rear.this is not mentioned in the main description but only in the smallprint.hose length is 800mm and 1450mm which fitted ok onto my boardman pro 18" .so i have a right rear brake and a left front brake for now , i actually prefer it that way. After fittings brakes and testing them rear brake hydraulic pipe came out from lever / cylinder comparing the locking nuts the rear one was not screwed in enough / assembled correctly . After assembling it correctly. Now have the hassle of refilling the hydraulic line .No inspection of these , so you need to check as the pipe coming out when my grandson was going down a hill could have been a disasterOrdered on the 21st October arrived 22nd October, fitting was a doddle on my boardman bike and as for the quality of product it's bang on the money, way better breaking than what I had before, in a nutshell if you want better breaks go for it you can't go wrong with these ??Excellent product so easy to install - good quality item and no bleeding required.
